a short drive to hotel where there will be some time to rest
and settle in. We will have a dinner at a nice local Turkish
restaurant. Rest of the day at

2 - Istanbul (B) (L) (D)
the classical highlights of Istanbul: Roman Hippodrome (where ancient chariot
races were held, and then visit the world famous,
Blue Mosque (unique with its 6 minarets, and famous for its
blue Iznik tiles) and Saint Sophia. The Basilica or St. Sophia, now
called the Ayasofya Museum is unquestionably one of the finest
buildings of all time. Built by Constantine the Great and
reconstructed by Justinian in the 6th century. You will also visit
the Topkapi palace, which like the others, is formed by many
smaller palaces and apartments. Topkapi
Palace was an imperial Residence of
Ottoman Sultans, with displays of priceless World-class
collections of artifacts, jewelry and rare porcelain. You are free to explore the
labyrinth tunnels of the Grand Bazaar. One could visit
Istanbul for the shopping alone. The Grand Bazaar, in the old
city is the logical place to start. This labyrinth of streets
and passages houses more than 4,000 shops. The names
recall the days when each trade had its own quarter: the
goldsmiths' street, the carpet sellers' street, and the street
of the skullcap makers. Still the commercial center of the old
city, the bazaar is the original shopping mall with something
to suit every taste and pocket. Turn
back to hotel. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

day Bosphorus & Asia Tour; visit the Egyptian spice
market, and then embark on a Bosphorus boat tour viewing the
beauty of the European and Asian shorelines on either side.
After lunch at a local fish restaurant, Beylerbeyi palace, The
summer residence of Ottoman Sultans with its original
furniture and magnificent gardens with the Harem on the Asian.
Bosphorus bridge, Unique chance to step from one continent
(Asia) to another (Europe). Camlica hill, the highest point in
Istanbul. At the top of it you can rest and admire the
magnificent panorama of Istanbul and the Bosphorus from the
beautiful gardens, landscaped in traditional style. Shopping
possibility at bedesten exhibits the traditional silk weaving
girls at the carpet weaving courses authorised by the Ministry
of National Education Possibility to see jewellery,
handicrafts center and leatherware show. Free time provided
for shopping. Overnight in Istanbul.
